Port Number Limitation Function
The port number limitation function makes it possible to add the information on which port (PORT1 or PORT2)
reads the data at the time of verification with the master data.
Port Number Limitation Function
In a case where two code readers are connected to the DV-90, it is possible to add the port informa-
tion, for each record number.
This means that Verify NG is output when the data is not input from the specified port number, even
if the data itself matches the master data.
The port number limitation can be selected for the respective record number from the following.
Setting of the port number limitation can be performed using the SetUp Software (
refer to 7-
15) or in the preset mode (
refer to 5-24).
• ALL...........Verifies the data from code readers attached to either port.
• PORT1.......Verifies the data only from the code reader connected to PORT1.
• PORT2.......Verifies the data only from the code reader connected to PORT2.
Note
• Port number limitation is performed only when Verify Type is set to normal verification or
active verification.
In other verification types, the port number limitation function is invalid.
• This function can be used when two code readers are connected to the DV-90. When only
one code reader is connected, the function is invalid and the DV-90 performs in the same
manner as when ALL is set.
