9-2 Device Assignment

„ DMs in which data is written

• The DMs are assigned with the addresses specified in “X+01 to +03” at the head (Y1 to Y3).
• Making a selection from Data 1 through 3 depends on the “Verify Type” to be used as shown in

the following list. Refer to page 9-17 for details.

* The data may be used when “Output Data” is “Verify Limit”.

* “Data 1” is the data of the “first reading”, “Data 2” is the data of the “second reading”, and “Data 3” is the

data of the “third reading”.

• The maximum number of data digits that can be written is 100.

Even when the code reader has read more than 100 digits, only up to the 100th digit can be written.
If the number of digits in the data is less than 100, it is possible to use the DMs in which no data
is to be written.

• ASCII codes or double-byte codes are written in “Y*+01 to +50”. Note that a double-byte code

occupies two digits.

• The data is written in a DM of “Y*+01 to +50” from the upper byte to the lower byte. When odd-

byte data is written, 00h is written in the last digits (the lower byte of the last data). The previous
data is retained after the last digit.
