5-4 Verify Limitation Function
Date Compare Function
When the date information is included in the bar code, it can be verified with the date in the DV-90.
For presetting the current date in the DV-90 to add “100 days”, which can be represented as
“+00100”, the Date Compare function compares the read date information and the registered date
information (Current Date + 100 days.)
For the compare logic, select one from the following five types:
• “=” --------- Means equals to (Current Date + nnnnn.)
• “<” --------- Means smaller than (Current Date + nnnnn.)
• “>” --------- Means larger than (Current Date + nnnnn.)
• “
≤” --------- Means equals to or less than (Current Date + nnnnn.)
• “
≥” --------- Means equals to or more than (Current Date + nnnnn.)
When the read date information matches the selected condition, Verify OK is output. This function
is useful for checking the expiration date on food, etc.
In the following example, the current date is December 1, 2004.
• When ”ABC12041215XYZ456” is read (Current date is December 1, 2004.)
Note
The Date Compare can be set in the range between –1000 and +1000.
• The date information is displayed in six digits set out in the order of (the last two digits of
the year) (month) (date). The date comparison is performed only in this form.
• This function cannot be used in 3-point-A verification or 3-point-B verification.
