Syringe volume,
µ
L
Volume of the syringe.
Entry range:
100, 250, 500, 1000, 10000
.
Use the 10000
µ
L
syringe only if the User
Program is enabled on the Methods
Programming/Template tab. The 10000
µ
L
syringe is not supported by the prede-
fined Triathlon methods.
Syringe speed
Aspirating speed of the syringe in injection
methods, can be adapted to the viscosity of
the sample. The syringe speed during wash
or rinsing procedures are not affected by
this setting.
Entry range:
LOW, NORMAL, HIGH
.
- scale factor
The syringe speed can be increased by the
scale factor The effective speed is the sy-
ringe speed multiplied by the scale factor.
Entry range:
1…10
.
Needle height, mm
Distance between the needle tip and a ref-
erence point a few millimeters above the
bottom of the sample tray (not the bottom
of the vial).
This setting is only used in injection meth-
ods
Entry range:
0…40
.
A height of 0 mm is a reference value re-
lated to a point about 2.5 mm above the
bottom of the tray. Check sample needle
height with an empty vial.
Air segment
Selection whether an air segment will be
used in analytical runs.
Entry range:
YES, NO
.
Headspace pressure
Switch the compressor for headspace
pressure on or off. The Triathlon uses
headspace pressure to facilitate transport
of sample into the loop. Accuracy and re-
producibility may decrease if headspace
pressure is switched off.
The compressor is always on during wash
procedures.
Entry range:
YES, NO
.
Only useful with airtight sample vials.
Alarm buzzer
Switch acoustic signal on or off.
Entry range:
On, Off
.
