There are a variety of mathematical transfer functions for the motion characteristic in the
asynchronous section (see, e.g. VDI 2143). The prepared solution only takes account of
second order polynomials (linear speed ramps), fifth order polynomials and the sloping sine
line.
Selecting a cutting length x
