Command Mode
Configuration
Description
Sets the parity for the console serial port. The default setting is
none.
* Note: The concept of parity is not applicable to the console
serial port when it is configured in PPP mode. When the
console serial port is configured in PPP mode, the parity
value cannot be accepted or stored. However, to save a
parity value, the console serial port mode can be
changed to TTY mode, the parity value set, and the
console serial port mode returned to PPP mode. The
parity value is saved until the console serial port is
reconfigured as TTY mode.

The following example sets the console parity to even.

Required parameter. The value indicates the type of parity
to be applied to the console serial port.
