Interface
Description
Assign a password to be used by neighboring routers that are using
OSPF's simple password authentication. To remove a previously
assigned OSPF password, use the no form of this command.

Sample Output
The following command assigns the password “abc” as the
authentication key.
>(config-I:intf3)#ip ospf authentication-key
“abc”
The following command removes the password “abc” as the
authentication key.
(config-I:intf3)#no ip ospf authentication-
key
