Command Mode
Configuration
Description
Sets the console serial port’s databit width. The default value is 8.
* Note: This command is not applicable when the console serial
port is configured in PPP mode. The input will not be
accepted or stored when the console serial port is
configured in PPP mode.
However, if the console serial port is configured as TTY
mode and the databits width is configured, the console
serial port can be changed to PPP mode and the databit
width is saved until TTY mode is restored.

This example sets the databit width for the console serial port to 7.
