The AutoCal procedure can be aborted by pressing the ESC system
key. The previous calibration file (if any) will be restored.
See SPCL > Sensor Data > Ch # Sensor for more information.
CALibration[1|2]:AUTO
Note
The Chan # > Calibration > Start selection will only be highlighted when an AutoCal procedure is allowed.
AutoCal is not available if the channel is Off or no sensor is connected.
Fixed Cal
Pulse, Mod & Stat
Sets the sensor 0 dBm point precisely using an external standard.
(Action)
START
Allows the operator to perform a 0 dBm fixed calibration using a
customer-provided source. The Chan # > Calibration > Fixed Cal
Start selection will be highlighted only when Fixed Cal is valid. To
activate Fixed Cal the channel must be turned On with a sensor
connected that has a valid AutoCal file.
Allow 15 minutes for the sensor temperature to stabilize before
initiating Fixed Cal. Connect the sensor to the Calibrator type-N
connector on the front (or rear) panel, and press the START key.
The resulting cal-factor will overwrite the current cal-factor. It will
persist until the Frequency is changed.
The maximum correction range of the sensor 0 dBm point by the Fixed
Cal procedure is limited to 1 dB.
CALibration[1|2]:USER:FREQcal
Zeroing
Pulse, Mod & Stat
Initiates the automatic internal zero adjustment
(Action)
START
The instrument will automatically adjust its indication of the zero input
power level. Disable any signal source connected to the sensor before
initiating the Zeroing procedure. If the sensor is connected to the
internal calibrator, the calibrator output signal will be turned off
automatically when Zeroing is initiated and will resume when zeroing
is complete.
