Tape Option

If you choose Tape, either select a tape drive from the list of tape drives available on the
NonStop server or enter a tape drive name in that same field. The optional “External
Tape ID” field is used in EMS messages, for example, to help a system operator identify
the proper tape to mount. The default tape drive configured in the Host Configuration
will be used as the default input source.

network systems, with the software management server system selected by default.

Enter a volume.subvolume pattern in the input text box. (The standard NonStop
pattern match characters “?” and “*” can be used.) When the Find/Add button is
clicked (or Enter key pressed), NonStop Software Essentials searches for matching
subvolume(s). If the “Find only Distributed SubVolumes (DSVs) containing packaged
software” is checked, only matching subvolumes that contain an A0CINFO file will
be returned. The volume.subvolume pattern entered before pressing the Find/Add
button will remain in the field after the button is pressed.

The Find/Add button can be clicked multiple times to add different sets of subvolumes
from different volume.subvolume patterns entered. Only the subvolumes added to
the table by the most recent Find/Add search will be selected, to identify the
subvolumes added by the most recent search. In case a subvolume retrieved by an
