Exiting the NonStop Software Essentials Interface
To end the current NonStop Software Essentials session, click the Sign Out link on the NonStop
Software Essentials banner. You can also end the session by simply closing the browser window.
In either case, if there are unsaved changes in the work panel, a dialog box warns you that unsaved
changes will be discarded if you exit.
DSM/SCM Maintenance Interfaces
DSM/SCM has two Maintenance Interfaces to manage the archive and databases:
•
Host Maintenance Interface (ZPHIHMI)
•
Target Maintenance Interface (ZPHITMI)
Both interfaces are similar block-mode interfaces and do not require a PC. They can run on any
NonStop character-based terminal or terminal emulator that supports block-mode display. From
either Host or Target Maintenance Interface, you can:
•
Add new target systems to DSM/SCM
•
Manage the DSM/SCM archive, databases, profiles, and target systems
•
Bring new systems into the NonStop software management environment
•
View, modify, and list system profiles
•
Manage volumes for DSM/SCM use
•
Perform database administration to ensure the efficient operation of the DSM/SCM database:
— Cancel exclusive access to certain DSM/SCM database items for users or requests that
have checked out software packages, configuration revisions, the configuration manager
profile, or a system profile
— Move a DSM/SCM database from one volume to another
— Delete requests
