Since NonStop Software Essentials is run from the host system, send the updated information to
the target system in an activation package to synchronize the target database.
Target Profile
Target Profile can be updated through NonStop Software Essentials, using the Target Maintenance
actions on the Configuration Revisions page, as illustrated under

After you run INITENV with the initialize option, you must specify both output and target system
generation values. Otherwise, you can review the
“Target Output Defaults” (page 149)

System Generation Defaults” (page 150)
and change as necessary.
Target Output Defaults
After you run INITENV with the initialize option, you must specify the output values. Otherwise,
you can review the defaults and change as necessary. To specify, review and/or change the output
values: from the Add/Modify Target popup, click the Output tab.

Parameter
The subvolume location for reports to be viewed online. When you request a
report, you can override this default.
Output location for target reports
The location for activation packages transferred from the host system and
snapshots. The default is $DSMSCM.
Volume for activation
package/snapshot
The volume in the logical target where new subvolumes created during
DSM/SCM processing are placed. The default is $SYSTEM.
