Setting Planner Security through NonStop Software Essentials
Planner security is set through the Manage Planners interface in NonStop Software Essentials. To
access the Manage Planners interface:
1.
Log on to NonStop Software Essentials (see
“Accessing the NonStop Software Essentials
) using the DSM/SCM user ID.
2.
Select Manage Planners either from under the “Maintenance” heading on the NonStop Software
Essentials home page or from the Maintenance menu on the NonStop Software Essentials
menu bar.
3.
Security settings for each planner are initially established when the planner is created on the
host, either through the Add Planner or Add Like Planner actions. The example below pictures
the Add Planner dialog where the permissions for an individual planner are defined. These
security settings define which tasks the planner has permission to perform within NonStop
Software Essentials or DSM/SCM.
Permissions for an individual planner can subsequently be modified through the “Modify
Planner Security” dialog (pictured below). To reach this dialog, click on an individual planner
name on the Planners Page, Planner Groups Page, or an individual Planner Group Page.
Once the desired changes have been made, click OK for the changes to take effect.
