Under “Guardian defaults for new files,” when no prior version of the files exist, you can
change the owner and security settings for the new files.
•
Under “Include in activation package,” you can add any or all of the following developer
files:
—
EMS template source files: A set of files containing static text and token IDs that
provide for the substitution of literal values for the tokens to produce meaningful text
for display. An Event Management Service (EMS) procedure converts templates
written for event tokens into operator messages in DSM display format.
—
SPI definition files: Subsystem Programmatic Interface files that are included in
programs, macros, and routines using the interface procedures; and definition files
in data definition language (DDL) for programmers writing their own subsystems.
—
Privileged declarations files: A set of files containing data structures and calling
sequences for use by customers when writing privileged code to make direct use of
some set of system resources.

In the SYSGEN tab, make any desired changes to the default SYSGEN values, then click OK
to add the target. The following configurable fields appear on the SYSGEN tab for all processor
types (and are the only fields displayed for systems with TNS/E processor types):
•
SYSGEN report location – the name of a spooler to which the output listing created by
the system generation program is sent.
•
CONFTEXT file – the name of the input configuration file (CONFTEXT) used by SYSGEN
when building a new system image for this configuration.
Example of SYSGEN tab for systems with TNS/E processor types:
For systems with TNS or TNS/R processor types, these additional fields appear on the SYSGEN
tab:
•
Expand CONFTEXT DEFINE statements in CONFLIST report – selecting this option directs
SYSGEN to include the DEFINE statements in the SYSGEN output report (CONFLIST).
•
Create System Image Tape (SIT) – a check box to specify whether or not to create one
SIT to the default tape drive specified in the Host Configuration.
•
SYSGEN workfile locations – specifies whether system generation program work files are
temporary, permanent, or managed by SYSGEN, and sets the output location.
