SYSGEN Tab
This tab contains the following configurable or informational fields:
•
CONFTEXT file – The CONFTEXT file specified in the target profile is displayed. That field is
not editable on this tab, but can be changed, if necessary, through the Modify Target action
in NonStop Software Essentials.
•
Expand CONFTEXT DEFINE – selecting this option directs SYSGEN to include the DEFINE
statements in the SYSGEN output report (CONFLIST). The default is derived from the profile
for this target. This is only displayed for TNS and TNS/R targets.
•
SYSGEN report location – the name of a spooler to which the output listing created by the
system generation program is sent. The default value is derived from the profile for this target.
•
SYSGEN workfiles subvolume – specifies whether system generation program work files are
temporary, permanent, or managed by SYSGEN, and sets the output location. The default
value is derived from the profile for this target. This is only displayed for TNS and TNS/R
targets.
•
Create optional SIT – specifies whether or not to create a system image tape (SIT). The default
is derived from the profile for this target. This is only displayed for TNS and TNS/R targets.
•
SIT creation options – specifies the tape drive (the default is from the Host Configuration tape
drive), external tape ID (External tape label, the default is none), and number of SITs to create
(up to nine per build, the default is 1). System generation is required only if needed files are
not in the Archive. For multiple SITs requiring system generation, it is only run for creating the
first SIT. This is only displayed for TNS and TNS/R targets.
