Exiting CNFGINFO
1.
In the Select DSV Location dialog box, click OK. CNFGINFO saves all changes you made
during the session and returns to the main task window.
2.
Select File>Exit.
3.
If you have no further DSM/SCM activities to perform, on the host system:
a.
Check that ZDSMSCM is the current subvolume.
b.
Run STOPSCM.
c.
If you are running CNFGINFO by itself, stop $ZPHC.
CONFIGINFO Summary
To prepare the product for DSM/SCM, the planner:
1.
Log on to CNFGINFO by selecting Tandem>Run CNFGINFO tool.
2.
Specify the location of the distribution subvolume containing the product files.
3.
Specify these product attributes:
•
Product name
•
Product version
•
Subvolume where the files are to be placed
4.
Because all files have a default function of USER (there are no special functions), click OK in
each dialog box, including the Select DSV Location dialog box; then exit CNFGINFO by
selecting File>Exit. The new product now has an A0CINFO file that contains all the appropriate
product attributes.
Task 1: Start and Log On to CNFGINFO
1.
Start CNFGINFO by clicking the Windows icon for the CNFGI.EXE program (it is labelled
CNFGINFO Tool in the DSM/SCM program group).
CNFGINFO displays the About DSM/SCM CNFGINFO dialog box, which contains license
and copyright information. This dialog box remains visible for about five seconds; then
CNFGINFO displays the Logon dialog box:

In the Logon dialog box, enter your user ID or alias and password.
3.
Click OK.
CNFGINFO displays the Select DSV Location dialog box:
