planner group as the owner.
Other available actions on the Target page include:
•
For a revision that is not “New,” click on the revision number to display the Revision Page for
that revision.
•
Delete one or more revisions by selecting them in the left column and clicking Delete Revisions.
•
Select any one revision and click View Revision Notes.
Creating a Software Configuration Revision
On the host system, a planner creates a new software revision identifying the products to install
on the logical target. In NonStop Software Essentials, creating or editing a new software
configuration revision is done through the Install Software window.
NOTE:
A new software revision is required to perform a Build/Apply, even if there are no changes
to the software in the current configuration. To create a new configuration revision from an old
configuration revision, see
“Creating a New Software Revision from an Old Software Revision”
.
Select a Target and Launch the Install Software Page
There are many ways to initiate this process in NonStop Software Essentials. You can launch the
Install Software page and then select a target, or you can select a target on which to create or
edit a new revision, which launches the Install Software page. The methods include:
•
From the NonStop Software Essentials Home Page, click the Install Software link.
