Log on to the target system. In PREVIEW mode, you can log on as any super-group user that
has read access to all the files being renamed.

Make sure that you are in the ZDSMSCM subvolume:
> VOLUME $vol.ZDSMSCM
vol
is the volume containing the DSM/SCM TSV.

Run ZPHIRNM in PREVIEW mode:
> RUN ZPHIRNM [$vol.]SYSnn , FROM [$vol.]SYSnn, PREVIEW
[STRICT] [,option]...
If no arguments are entered, help text appears:
[$vol.]SYSnn
Required; specifies the SYSnn subvolume that you just applied software to or are backing
out to. The default for $vol is the current system load volume, usually $SYSTEM.
The particular SYSnn to specify for this parameter should be in the operator instructions
included with the activation package. (This number is entered by the planner in the operator
instructions template.)
STRICT
Optional; warns you about expected files that do not exist and do not present a problem.
option
is one of:
Specifies a single TSV to be tested in PREVIEW mode. tsv-subvol is an
8-character subvolume name.
TSV tsv-subvol
Specifies a single directory to be tested in PREVIEW mode. Only the specified
directory is processed.
TDL directory
Lists all files that are being renamed to the screen.
DETAIL-TO-SCREEN or DET or
DTS
Forces ZPHIRNM to rename files back to the file names of the previous
configuration when the ZPHITI Backout command cannot be used. This
FROM [$vol.]SYSnn
parameter is the location of the current configuration, and the first SYSnn
specified in this command is the location of the previous configuration. Use
FROM only for problem resolution when you need to back out to the previous
configuration.
This prompt appears:

Enter Y and press Enter. This prompt appears:
You may use any file for logging. If you request to use a
disk file that doesn’t exist, it is created as an edit file.

Enter a disk file name. This message appears:
Log file is open, ZPHIRNM will now begin processing.

Check that ZPHIRNM ran successfully by reviewing the specified log file. If you need to address
errors, see the DSM/SCM Messages Manual for cause, effect, and recovery information.
7.
If the process generates errors, correct them and run ZPHIRNM in PREVIEW mode again. If
no errors occur, proceed to
“Prepare to Run ZPHIRNM” (page 123)
