Bringing an Exported File Back into the Archive after the File has been Modified
1.
Run CNFGINFO.
2.
Create a new A0CINFO file for the exported file.
3.
Receive it into the archive as a separate SPR. The changed file does not replace the original
file but can be handled like any other package and built into a new revision.
Moving the NonStop Software Archive through ZPHIHMI
By default, the NonStop software archive for NonStop Software Essentials and DSM/SCM is
located in the $AUDIT volume. If you need more space, you can move the archive to a different
volume. Moving the archive can provide more space for storing software packages or other archive
volume contents. Most users choose to move the archive to another volume when they configure
DSM/SCM.
You can move an archive volume or a set of archive subvolumes to another volume on any system
network accessible to the target systems. If you move the archive, keep the databases and archive
on different volumes if space allows. By default, the databases are kept separately on $DSMSCM.
The archive must be on a volume with a name of no more than seven characters ($xxxxxx).
NOTE:
To improve system performance, configure free-space table (FST) caching for each archive
volume. For information on specifying FSTCACHING, see the SCF Reference Manual for the Storage
Subsystem.
You must use ZPHIHMI to move an archive volume or subvolume:
1.
On the ZPHIHMI main menu, enter 8 (Archive Relocation), and then press F1. DSM/SCM
displays the Archive Relocation screen.
