About This Guide
HP NonStop Software Essentials is used, in conjunction with Distributed Systems
Management/Software Configuration Manager (DSM/SCM), for managing and configuring
software installation on distributed target systems.
This guide provides task-oriented instructions for using the NonStop Software Essentials and
DSM/SCM interfaces to perform the activities associated with installing and managing software
revisions.
This guide documents these product versions (or later):
•
NonStop Software Essentials Server component T0894G02 for G-series RVUs, T0894H02
for H-series and J-series RVUs.
•
NonStop Software Essentials Client component T0895V02 for Windows-based consoles.
•
NonStop Software Essentials Client component T0996V02 for Linux-based consoles.
•
DSM/SCM T6031G02 ACR for G-series RVUs, T6031H02 ACS for H-series and J-series
RVUs.
Supported Release Version Updates (RVUs)
This manual supports J06.03 and all subsequent J-series RVUs, H06.09 and all subsequent H-series
RVUs, and G06.24 and all subsequent G-series RVUs, until otherwise indicated in a replacement
publication.
Intended Audience
Readers should be familiar with the fundamentals of the HP NonStop operating system and have
a general understanding of NonStop operating system installation concepts.
In addition, readers should have experience in one or more of these areas, depending on their
role as NonStop software management:
