You can sort the lists in each pane by clicking on the column headings. Clicking the heading for
the second column sorts all of the rows marked with these change or addition symbols, to make it
easier to ascertain the differences between source and target.
TIP:
•
Selecting all products in a SUT or configuration revision triggers a Copy operation, which
replaces ALL contents of the new revision.
• Selecting a subset of products in a SUT or configuration revision ADDS the product versions
to the existing target revision contents.
• To fall back to a previous software configuration revision using the NonStop Software Essentials
interface, you could select the desired existing revision from the “Configuration Revisions”
tree to use as the source package in the left pane and copy the entire package to create the
“new” configuration.
• Pop-up dialogs in the NonStop Software Essentials interface provide information on performing
specific operations, such as copying entire SUTs, dealing with composite SPRs (those containing
both base and overlay SPRs), etc. Additional information is provided below for the following
dialog boxes (and can be accessed by the Help buttons located on these dialog boxes):

Copy SUT or Software Configuration
The SUT or Software Configuration being copied into the new revision will become the base for
the new revision. If a SUT is being copied, only the products listed in the CUSTFILE for this target
system will be copied into the new revision. The CUSTFILE is in product T6032 with a product
name of Asite-id. This is usually all products if the SUT is specifically for this target system. If
this is a DSO SUT for more than one target system, a subset of products on the SUT may be copied
into the new revision. You will be given the opportunity to retain products in the new revision that
are not in the SUT or Software Configuration being copied.
