OpenLNS Event Options
The OpenLNS Event options category contains a set of check boxes for enabling and disabling
OpenLNS events that are used to update the OpenLNS CT drawing. To maintain synchronization
between your OpenLNS CT drawing, the OpenLNS CT database, and other OpenLNS CT tools,
applications, and plug-ins, enable all the OpenLNS events. If you are using an OpenLNS tool,
application, or plug-in other than OpenLNS CT to make changes to the OpenLNS network database,
OpenLNS CT uses OpenLNS events to keep OpenLNS CT synchronized with that OpenLNS
application or plug-in.
If you are only using OpenLNS CT, you can disable all the OpenLNS events except for the
device/router commission and attachment events, as OpenLNS CT tracks these events itself. A benefit
of disabling the OpenLNS events is that it may improve network performance.
