2. An external device, such as a GPS receiver or datalogger, is improperly

connected to the monitor.

Solution: Disconnect external devices and turn the monitor on. If the

monitor turns on correctly, make sure that the correct cable is used to
connect your external device to the monitor. Refer to the “Using a GPS
Receiver” or “Logging Map Data to a Datalogger” documents in the
Operation section.

3. One of the yield monitor sensor cables has a bad connection.

Solution: Disconnect the yield monitor cables from the distribution
cable, one at a time, leaving the power cable connected. After
disconnecting each cable, look at the display and see whether it has
turned on.

No GPS Signal

D or G not appearing on the top display indicating the lack of a GPS signal.

1. The monitor is not set to log to a card (if it is not set to log to a card, the

monitor will not look for the GPS signal).

Solution: Press the SETUP key until “LOGGING DEVICE=NONE or

EXT or ?M CARD” appears on the display. Use the top-right UP or
DOWN ARROW keys to set the logging device to ?M CARD. Turn off
the monitor and turn it back on again to look for the D or G in the top-
right display corner.

2. The GPS receiver is not sending a signal to the monitor.

Solution: The GPS receiver must be outside to lock on the satellites and
begin sending a signal to the monitor. Look for an indicator light on the
GPS receiver box to determine whether the receiver has a GPS or
differential signal. Some receivers may require 5 to 15 minutes before
they begin sending a GPS signal to the monitor after they have been
turned on.

Examine the GPS and differential antenna mountings on your combine.
Refer to the installation instructions provided with the GPS receiver or
to the “Using a GPS Receiver” document in the Operation section.
