Monitor Not
Responding to
Keys
1. The microprocessor has locked up.
Solution: Press the reset button on the bottom of the monitor. If the
monitor does not respond to any key presses when it restarts, call Ag
Leader Technology and send the monitor in for repair.
2. The keypad is bad or the keypad ribbon inside the monitor console is
damaged.
Solution: Remove the top nine screws that secure the front panel, then
open the panel. Examine the clear ribbon that connects to the keypad on
the inside of the front panel for nicks or cuts. Call Ag Leader Technology
and send the monitor in for repair if the ribbon is damaged or the keypad
is faulty.
3. The main memory is corrupt (indicated by strange field and load numbers
and strange characters on the display).
Solution: Refer to the troubleshooting instructions for “Corrupt Main
Memory”.
Corrupt Main
Memory
A corrupt main memory is indicated by strange field and load numbers and
strange characters on the display.
1. A voltage spike from operating an electric feeder reverser, welding on
the combine, etc., has corrupted the main memory.
Solution: The data in the main memory is corrupt. You must either
restore memory from the backup memory, or if you have not recently
copied memory to the backup, restore memory from a card if you have
been using a GPS receiver and logging data to a memory card.
To restore memory from the backup memory, press the MEM key until
“RESTORE MEM FROM BACKUP?” appears on the display, then
press the YES key.
To restore memory from a card, press the MEM key until “RESTORE
MEM FROM CARD?” appears on the display, then press the YES key.
