9. The cab, distribution, or flow sensor cable connection is bad, or the flow
sensor is bad.
Solution: Press the FLOW key to check the “OF=XX” and “MN=XX
MX=XX” values. The MN value should be between 10 and 45 and the
MX value should be between 35 and 150 while you are harvesting. The
OF value should be between 60 and 100 and should never change while
the separator is running at full speed with no grain flow or with a grain
flow.
If the MN, MX value is incorrect (e.g., MN=255, MX=0), or the OF
number is incorrect, check the cab, distribution, and flow sensor cables
for loose connections or cable damage and use a volt-ohm meter to
check for the correct resistance readings.
Refer to the Reference section for instructions on checking for the
correct resistance readings.
10. The sensor cal, box cal, or voltage cal number has changed.
Solution: Press the SETUP key to display “xxx VOLTAGE CAL”,
“xxxx SENSOR CAL”, and “xxx BOX CAL”. Check each value against
the initial calibration sheet. None of the values should change unless you
replaced your monitor or flow sensor. If you replaced your monitor or
flow sensor and forgot to change any of these values, you must set all
your new loads to a different grain type (e.g., CORN to SPECIAL
CORN) and calibrate the monitor for grain weight and moisture for that
grain type. To change the voltage, box, or sensor calibration values, use
the top-right UP or DOWN ARROW keys.
11.The scale factor number has been changed.
Solution: If you change the scale factor during the harvest season, you
will lose your calibration accuracy and will have to recalibrate by
changing to different grain types and entering new calibration loads. The
scale factor should be set to the value that is on the Initial Calibration
Sheet, unless:
•
you saved your old calibration loads (from the previous year) that
were harvested under a different scale factor setting.
•
you were satisfied with the calibration accuracy you have been
getting and do not want to change anything.
