Erasing,
Initializing
Memory Cards

After you set the monitor to log to a memory card, the monitor displays
“INSERT CARD OR PRESS NO” if there is no memory card in the slot
when the monitor is turned on. Either insert the correct size memory card
that you want the monitor to log to, or press the NO key.

After the memory card is installed, the monitor asks you questions about
erasing and formatting the card. Always erase and format the card unless
you are adding data to a card that is not full.

Note: Refer to the Logging Map Data to a Card document in the Operation
section for more information.

Logging Data to
the Memory Card

With log without grain flow set to yes, the monitor will begin logging data to
the card if the area count switch is in the up position. If you are using an
implement switch and the area count switch is up, the implement switch
automatically starts and stops logging to the card when the implement is
raised and lowered at the row ends. To manually turn off logging to the
card, put the area count switch in the down position.

Make sure that the field and load you want to log GPS data into is the data
field and data load. You can identify the data field and load by the small
arrow (-->) to the right of the field and load numbers. Any other load has a
colon (:)in place of the arrow. The data load with the small arrow will be the
load into which data will be entered during logging.

Follow these steps if you want to change a load to the data load:

Step

Action

1

Display the field and load on the top line.

2

Press the MEM key until “CHANGE TO THIS LOAD?” appears on
the display.

3

Press the YES key.

Note: If you create a new load, the new load automatically becomes
the data load.
