GPS Status
Indicator

Press the SETUP key to ensure that the monitor is set on LOGGING
DEVICE=?M CARD. The monitor must have this setting before it will look
for a GPS signal.

You do not have to put a card in the monitor to receive a GPS signal. When
the monitor is set to log to a card, you will see two status indicators on the
right side of the top line of the display. The indicators vary. Refer to the list
below for possible indicators and what they mean:

Two dashes on the top line of the display indicate there is no GPS or

differential.

The dash at the right of the monitor display changes to g when the GPS

receiver obtains a two-dimensional fix (receiver is tracking three
satellites).

The dash at the right of the monitor’s display changes to a G when the

GPS receiver obtains a three-dimensional fix, (receiver is tracking four or
more satellites).

The dash at the left of the monitor’s display changes to a D when the

GPS receiver has differential correction.

The right end of the top display shows DG with full GPS and differential

correction.

The right end of the top display shows DG-> with the arrow pointing to

the memory card when you are logging data to a card and you have a full
GPS differential correction signal.

When the status of either the GPS fix or differential correction changes, the
monitor double-beeps.
