If you are not using an implement switch, you do not need to adjust the stop
height because you will have to use the area count switch to manually turn
on and off area counting on the ends.

Swath Width

Press the SWATH key to display the cutting and head widths. Set the head
width to the working width of your implement or vehicle. If you are
recording data for field boundaries, tile lines, soil samples, or other activities
where there is no working width of an implement, set the head width to the
vehicle’s width.

Recommendation: Set the row spacing (press the ROW SPACE key) to
either the spacing between application units (i.e., planter units, sprayer
nozzles, etc.) or a common width, such as 12 inches.

Creating and
Naming New
Fields/Loads

You must create new fields and loads for site verification and application
rate mapping just as you would when you create fields and loads for yield
data. You can leave your current harvest fields and loads in the monitor
while you do site verification.

Recommendation: Name the field the same name as you used for
harvesting, but use the load names to identify the hybrid or chemical you
want to map.

Example: You want to record population rates and/or hybrid varieties
during planting in the field known as West 80, and you want to compare the
yield of these rates and/or varieties at harvest. Start a new field and label it
WEST80S, to signify it as West 80 during spring planting. For fall harvest,
start a new field and label it WEST80F, to signify it as West 80 during fall
harvest. Each load created can be labeled as a different population rate
and/or hybrid variety, such as P3394 or 29000.

Important: Do not put site verification data into the same fields and loads
that contain yield data. Doing to will cause the yield data to overlap the site
verification data on the map.
