Monitor Does Not
Function
When the monitor is turned on, the display has dark blocks and the monitor
is locked up.
1. The display is either bad or the display cable inside the monitor is
disconnected.
Solution: Remove the top nine screws that secure the front panel, then
open the panel. Make sure the ribbon cable with the blue connector is
securely mated to the back of the display. If it is, then the display is
probably bad. Call Ag Leader Technology and send the monitor in for
repair.
2. The monitor does not have a chip.
Solution: Remove the top nine screws that secure the front panel, then
open the panel. If the chip is missing, put the chip into the monitor and
turn it on. Make sure the data in the monitor is not corrupt.
3. An external device, such as a GPS receiver or datalogger, is improperly
connected to the monitor.
Solution: Disconnect external devices and turn the monitor on. If the
monitor turns on correctly, make sure that the correct cable is used to
connect your external device to the monitor. Refer to the “Using a GPS
Receiver” or “Logging Map Data to a Datalogger” documents in the
Operation section.
4. One of the yield monitor sensor cables has a bad connection.
Solution: Disconnect the yield monitor cables from the distribution
cable, one at a time, leaving the power cable connected. After
disconnecting each cable, look at the monitor and see whether it has
turned on.
