When editing the file, be careful of the following:
• When an option that depends on the user environment is specified:
Be careful not to delete the option.
• When the boot loader is LILO, or ELILO running on an IPF host, and an
option that depends on the user environment is not specified:
Comment out or delete

Create the initial RAM disk image file for the SCSI device according to the
mkinitrd
command documentation for the OS.
12. Shut down the host.
Execute the following command to shut down the host:
# shutdown -h now
13. Change the configuration from a multi-path configuration to a single-path
configuration.
14. Start the host.
When LVM2 is used, go to step 16.
15. Make sure that the SCSI device is used by the file system and the swap partition.
Make sure of the following three things: that the root directory is associated with
the SCSI device, that the SCSI device is mounted, and that the SCSI device is
assigned to the swap partition.
