Touch the Rate Cal value displayed on the screen and use the on-screen keypad to enter the desired target
rate for a product application.
Note:
During the initial set up of the field computer, enter a typical rate for seeding operations. The rate
cal will need to be adjusted for different seeding operations on each product control channel prior
to starting an actual seeding operation. Contact a local planter or seed supply dealer for
assistance.
4.
Repeat the above process for any remaining product nodes or control channels as necessary.
5.
Touch OK to save the entered value or proceed to the Bin Level Sensor Calibration section to continue with
the initial set up process.
Bin Level Sensor Calibration
The Seed Hawk
®
air cart features ultrasonic bin level sensors which automatically detect the level of product
remaining in each bin. The bin sensor for each of the first three products must be calibrated to accurately
gauge the amount of product in the bin.
Note:
The air cart bins must be empty to calibrate the bin level sensors.

Meter Cal(s)
Note:
The meter cal is required when the corresponding product node or control channel will be
controlling seed application rates or application of a liquid product. When operating the Viper Pro
with a dry or granular product applicator, a spreader constant and product density value will be
required to control application. Refer to the Raven Viper Pro Installation and Operation Manual for
more information on controlling dry or granular product applications.
