Image Processing Tools
Line Finder
The Line Finder identifies linear features on objects and returns the line angle
and point coordinates. See Line Finder on page 467.
Point Finder
The Point Finder identifies point features on objects and returns the coor-
dinates of the found point features. See Point Finder on page 521.
Image Processing Tools
Image processing tools provide various operations and functions for the analysis and proc-
essing of images.
Image Processing
The Image Processing Tool processes grayscale images by applying arithmetic,
assignment, logical, filtering, morphological, or histogram operators. Users can
define custom filtering operators. See Image Processing on page 415.
Image Sharpness
The Image Sharpness Tool computes the sharpness of major edges in a user-
defined region of interest. See Image Sharpness on page 445.
Image Histogram
The Image Histogram tool computes grey-level statistics within a user-defined
region of interest. See Image Histogram on page 401.
Image Sampling
The sampling tool is used to extract an area of an image and output it as a sep-
arate Image. See Image Sampling on page 443.
Inspection Tools
Inspection tools are commonly used in vision applications to inspect objects and parts, which
are typically found by a Locator or Finder tool. Inspection tools rely on the analysis of pixel
information, and do not create vector descriptions of objects.
Blob Analyzer
The Blob Analyzer identifies blobs, and returns various results for each blob. See
