3.4 Changing the IP Address on the Local Computer
Note that if the local computer is connected to a network, the connection will be temporarily lost when
the IP address is changed. Connection to the network will be restored after the original IP address for
the local computer is restored.
1. After the IP Config Tool is launched (Figure 3-3), click on the New IP Info tab, located at the top
of the screen (Figure 3-4).
2. Click
on
Local Area Connection shown in the window (Figure 3-4). While this connection is
highlighted (selected), the current IP and Subnet Mask for the local computer are shown.

2. Click on Local Area Connection.
1. Click on New IP Info tab.
Original IP Settings for local computer are displayed.
