Attaching and Detaching Headers
4.5.1
Attaching a D-Series Header
Refer to the procedure that is appropriate for the center-link installed on the windrower:

NOTE:
This topic assumes that draper header boots have already been attached to the windrower lift
linkage. If that is not the case, refer to
4.6.2 Attaching Header Boots, page 228
To attach a D-Series header to a windrower equipped with a hydraulic center-link and optional self-alignment, follow
these steps:
DANGER
Stop engine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or even a
pet could engage an idling machine.
1. Remove the hairpin (A) from pins (B) and remove the
pins from the header legs.

CAUTION
Check to be sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
2. Start engine and activate HEADER DOWN button (A)
on the ground speed lever (GSL) to fully retract header
lift cylinders.
