Copy Floppy Disks task through
command line
To format and initialize a floppy disk, enter the following command:
FLOPPY FORMAT
To copy files from the system disk to a floppy disk, enter the following
command:
FLOPPY SAVE [REVIEW] [ disk-id] {input-file-id | output-file-
id | file-id | file-type | ALL}
Table 10-6 lists each parameter and its description.
To copy files from a floppy disk to the system disk, enter the following
command:
FLOPPY RESTORE [REVIEW] [ disk-id] {input-file-id | output-file-
id | file-id | file-type | ALL}

Parameter Description
REVIEW Prompts you to confirm or stop overwriting a floppy file by
a system file. If you enter N, the file is not copied to floppy
disk, and the save process skips to the next file on the
system disk.
disk-id The system disk unit containing the files to be saved. If you
do not specify a disk id, all disks are searched.
input-file-id | output-file-
id | file-id | file-type
The identity of the input and output files.
ALL Saves all user files on the floppy disk.

Parameter Description
REVIEW Prompts you to confirm or stop overwriting a system file by
a floppy file. If you enter N, the file is not copied to system
disk, and the restore process skips to the next file on the
floppy disk.
disk-id The system disk unit to which the file is copied.
input-file-id | output-file-
id | file-id | file-type
The identity of the input and output files.
ALL Saves all user files on the floppy disk to the system disk.
