Using the I
2
C Interface to Monitor the Power Supplies
The power supply frames provide a single I
2
C interface to status and
monitor the four power supply modules. The I
2
C link-up provides the
ability to monitor up to eight power supply modules. A single I
2
C link-up
can monitor two power supply frames (
frames that are connected to a single I
2
C link must be connected to the same
power distribution bus.

C Connectivity
There are specific GV cable assemblies that must be used for this configu-
ration, which is described below.
The Power Supply Module
Each power supply frame supports up to four power supply modules. The
Lineage Compact Power Line module current power supply module used
for the Trinix Asymmetrical routers.
Specifications
Each power supply module:
•
Has a wide AC input: 100-240 VAC.
•
Provides an output of 44-58 VDC.
The power supply modules are set to 48 VDC output for use in the Trinix
Asymmetrical frame.
The power supply module’s output power depends on the power up AC
voltage level.
•
For AC low line, 100-120 VAC, the output power is limited to 1200
Watts.
•
For AC high line, 200-240 VAC, the output power is limited to 1800
Watts.
Each power supply module provides an I
2
C interface for status and moni-
toring as mentioned earlier.
