Machine parts can be damaged or destroyed!
The drive can travel into a mechanical limit during manual jog if
ƒ
no reference is known (status bit Stat1.HomePosAvailable = 0,
^ 161).

no software limit positions are set (
¶ 237).
The "manual jog" function is used to run the drive in inching mode, e. g. for cleaning or
changing the tool. The function is activated by setting the control bits Ctrl1.JogCW = 1 or
Ctrl1.JogCCW = 1 (
^ 158).
The control signals for "manual jog" can be linked to the digital input terminals to activate
the manual jog, for instance, via pushbuttons (
^ 168).
The GDC includes the codes for setting the manual control parameters in the parameter
menu under Positioning/E−Shaft
