Homing
By means of homing, the zero position is defined within the physically possible traversing
range of the machine. Thus, the reference of the measuring systems to the machine is
established.

The zero position (home position) can be defined by homing or by setting a reference:

During homing the drive traverses in a defined mode (homing mode) to detect the
zero position on its own and in a reproducible manner.
ƒ
When homing is carried out, the current position is defined as zero position (home
position).
