)
Note!
ƒ
Absolute positioning is required for operation with a linear positioning axis.
ƒ
Relative positioning in the continuous measuring system is required for
operation with a continuous positioning axis.
ƒ
Comply with the commissioning steps in the given order!

Operation with a linear positioning axis
1.
Definition of positioning profile with relative
positioning in the continuous measuring system.
(

Set the following codes in the GDC parameter menu
in Positioning profiles
W Profile 02:
l
C3095/2 = 1 (positioning profile mode "modulo
pos.")
Definition of positioning profile with absolute
positioning. (
^ 191)
Set the following codes in the GDC parameter menu
in Positioning profiles
W Profile 02:
l
C3095/2 = 0 (positioning profile mode "absolute
pos.")
l
C3100/2 (position for positioning profile 2)
l
C3200/2 (speed for positioning profile 2)
l
C3300/2 (acceleration for positioning profile 2)
l
C3400/2 (deceleration for positioning profile 2)
2.
Enable controller. (
l
Press the
l
Green LED is lit continuously if X6/SI1 = HIGH, X6/SI2 = HIGH, and the controller has been enabled via
the master control (PLC).
l
Green LED is blinking if X6/SI1 = HIGH and X6/SI2 = HIGH. (No enable via master control!)
3.
Start positioning profile (profile 02).
Set the following codes in the GDC parameter menu in Short setup
W Operating mode:
l
C4010 = 3 (control interface C4040)
l
C4040/Bit 5 = 1 (control bit Ctrl1.PNoSet_2, select positioning profile)
l
C4040/bit 8 = 1 (control bit Ctrl1.ProfEnable, start positioning profile)
ð Changeover to the "Positioning" state
– C4045/bit 4 = 1 (status bit Stat1.PStatPos)
– C4045/Bit 10 = 1 (status bit Stat1.ProfileBusy)
(Control bits see
The drive travels the relative distance specified
under C3100/2.
The drive approaches the absolute target position
defined by C3100/2.
4.
Reset positioning profile (profile 02).
Settings:
l
C4040/bit 5 = 0
l
C4040/bit 8 = 0
ð Changeover to the "Stand−by" state
– C4045/Bit 0 = 1 (status bit Stat1.PStatStdBy)
– C4045/Bit 4 = 0 (status bit Stat1.PStatPos)
– C4045/Bit 14 = 1 (status bit Stat1.InTarget)
– C4045/Bit 15 = 1 (status bit Stat1.DwellTime)
Note:
To traverse a positioning profile with relative
positioning in the continuous measuring system
again, repeat steps 3. and 4.
Note:
To retravel a positioning profile with absolute
positioning,
l
change the value in C3100/2 (see step 1.);
l
then continue with steps 3. and 4.
