The Summary tab for a single system displays the following information. Fields that are highlighted
on the Summary screen are links that take you to the panel corresponding to that field.
Description Field Group
The system's name. Name General
The model number of the system. Model
The system's serial number. Serial Number
The current HP 3PAR OS version. OS Version
Indicates the DAR Encryption status. The status indicates one of
the following conditions: Encryption Status
Unsupported – The storage system’s operating system does not
support SEDs.
Initializing – Encryption is initializing.
Not Licensed – The operating system supports SEDs but is not
licensed for DAR Encryption.
Enabled – The system is licensed for DAR Encryption, but
encryption is not enabled.
# Non SEDs – The number of non SEDs found in the system. (All
drives must be SEDs for Encryption to be enabled.)
Backup Required – You should back up the authentication key.
New Key Required – The user should generate a new key and
back it up.
In Progress – The Encryption operation is in progress. A task is
generated for the operation, which can be viewed in the Tasks &
Schedules Manager.
The total number of controller nodes. Controller Nodes

The total number of drive cages. Drive Cages
The total number of physical disk drives. If the license is limited
for the number of disk drives in the array, the licensed limit is
displayed next to the number of physical disks present. Physical Disks
The number of Fast Class (Fibre Channel and SAS) drives. FC

The number of SSD drives. SSD
NOTE: The HP 3PAR Management Console displays the devices currently installed in your
system. For example, if you do not have Fast Class drives installed, the FC field does not
appear on the Summary tab.
