4.5.2 MAC Access Control List
A MAC ACL consists of a set of rules which are matched sequentially against a packet. When a packet meets the match criteria
of a rule, the specified rule action (Permit/Deny) is taken and the additional rules are not checked for a match. On this menu the
interfaces to which an MAC ACL applies must be specified, as well as whether it applies to inbound or outbound traffic. Rules for
the MAC ACL are specified/created using the MAC ACL Rule Configuration menu.

• MAC ACL
A new MAC Access Control List may be created or the configuration of an
existing MAC ACL can be updated based on selection.
Configurable Data

Description
• MAC ACL Name
Specifies MAC ACL Name string which may include alphabetic, numeric, dash,
underscore or space characters only. The name must start with an alphabetic
character. This field displays the name of the currently selected MAC ACL if the
ACL has already been created.
• Submit button
Send the updated configuration to the switch. Configuration changes take effect
immediately. These changes will not be retained across a power cycle unless a
save is performed.
• Rename button
Renames the currently selected MAC ACL.
• Delete
Removes the currently selected MAC ACL from the switch configuration.
