3.2.5 Power Supply Requirements

The S9500 series adopt redundant PSUs. Where,

z

AC PSU:

Rated voltage: 100 VAC to 240 VAC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz

Maximum tolerance: 90 VAC to 264 VAC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz

Maximum power output: 600 W (S8502)/1200 W (S9505)/2000 W (S9508/S9512)

z

DC PSU:

Rated voltage: –60 VDC to –48 VDC

Maximum tolerance: –72 VDC to –36 VDC

Maximum power output: 600 W (S8502)/1200 W (S9505)/2000 W (S9508/S9512)

3.2.6 Space Requirements

For the sake of adequate ventilation and easy equipment maintenance, you are
recommended to keep one meter of clearance between the rear/front of the switch
cabinet and the wall surface or other devices. If the optional cabinet is desired, the clear
height of the equipment room must be more than 3 meters inclusive.

3.2.7 Cabinet-Mounting Requirements

Before cabinet-mounting the switch, make sure that the cabinet meets the following
requirements:

Better mount the switch in an open cabinet. However, if you want to mount it in a
closed cabinet, make sure of the availability of a good ventilation system.

z

Make sure that the cabinet stands steadily enough to support the weight of the
switch and the accessories.

z

Make sure that the switch fits the cabinet size. Leave some clearance beside the
left and right panels of the switch for chassis ventilation.
