3. The monitor outputs must be terminated either by using the supplied terminators or by
routing them into a 50 ohm device, such as one of the sampling modules in the
WaveExpert mainframe.
4. Connect the recovered clock output to the clock/prescale input on the WaveExpert
mainframe using a high-quality SMA cable.
5. Select the channel menu for the slot into which the CDR-E135 is plugged, and enter the
approximate bit rate of the signal connected to the CDR inputs.
6. The
Lock indicator on the front of the CDR will illuminate to indicate that the clock recovery
was successful.
7. If the CIS timebase is being used, press the Find Rate button in the horizontal setup dialog
to lock the CIS timebase to the recovered clock. The green indicator on the horizontal
descriptor box will be visible when the CIS timebase is locked:
