Thank you for purchasing a Teledyne LeCroy Zi Oscilloscope Rackmount Accessory. The following topics
explain proper installation and usage procedures.
Upon receiving your shipment, remove all parts from the packaging. Refer to the Parts Tables to ensure
that all items have shipped correctly.
Check the Pre-Installation requirements, then follow the Installation Procedure to set up your Rack-
mount properly.
CAUTION. The oscilloscope performance depends on adequate airflow into the vents on the bot-
tom cover of the unit. When installing in a rack, do not position the oscilloscope so as to block
the vents on the bottom of the instrument. Any equipment or debris in the 1 inch (25.4 mm) space below
the oscilloscope could result in performance degradation and possible shutdown of the oscilloscope.
Pre-Installation
Pre-Assemble Brackets
Pre-assemble the brackets and handles into a single piece using two 8-32 Undercut Flat Head screws per
bracket, as shown below.
