Moreover, a hysteresis range may be specified to ignore any spurious transition that does not
exceed the boundaries of the hysteresis interval. In Figure 3, Delta c2d- (1, 2) measures the time
interval separating the rising edge of the clock (trigger) from the first negative transition of the data
signal. Similarly, Delta c2d+ (1, 2) measures the time interval between the trigger and the next
transition of the data signal.

Level and Slope

For several timebased measurements, you can choose positive, negative, or both slopes to begin
parameter measurements. For two-input parameters, such as Dtime@level, you can specify the
slope for each input, as well as the level and type (percent or absolute).

Eye Parameters

A set of parameters called Eye Parameters is available, which measures waveform characteristics
based on the statistics on the 3-dimensional persistence map of the eye pattern. This map displays
voltage vs. time vs. frequency of occurrence (on the Z-axis). All of the eye parameters begin with
the designation EyeXXXX. For example, the rise timebased on a measurement of the eye pattern is
referred to as Eye Rise Time.

There are two classes of digital signal whose eye patterns can be measured: Return to zero (RZ)
and non-return to zero (NRZ). There are separate measurements for each of these signal types.
The type of signal is selected in the parameter menu using the Coding control. The "Eye Measure"
