Craft Interface
Connector
The craft interface port is used for local access to the IAD. A typical RS232
compliant interface from a dumb terminal or computer running a VT100
compatible emulation software can be used to access the unit. A dumb terminal
can only run the CLI commands. This interface can be used with a modem to
provide remote access to the unit. See the user admin section of this manual for
full details on this interface. This interface provides an asynchronous serial port
that provides basic modem handshake signals. It consists of Rx, Tx, RTS, and
CTS. Minimum connections are Rx, Tx, and ground (modem feature must be
disabled in configurator). The craft port Interface parameters are fixed at the
values in
Table 2:
