arg = [ c] where c = continuous or default at 20 minutes.
for module type of fx
module = [ voice-1 | voice-2 | voice-3 ]
type = [ analog | digital ]
arg = [ c] where c = circuit number (1-8)
for module type of xcon
module = [ WAN-1 | WAN-2 | T1-1 | T1-2 ]
LPBK T1 This command puts the indicated T1 module in one of four types of loopback for
the indicated duration. If arg is omitted, the default loopback duration of 20
minutes will be assumed. See LPBK for a description of all arguments. Refer to
Figure 3 for T1 loopback diagrams.
Remote and Payload Loopbacks loop the selected T1 back to the network.
The Remote loopback loops the T1 data stream back to the network
before the T1 module's Framer.
The Payload Loopback loops the T1 data stream back to the network after
the T1 module's Framer.
The Framer Loopback and the Local Loopback loop the T1 data stream back
to the cross connect module within the SHARK™ IAD itself.
The Framer Loopback allows the T1 data stream to go through framer.
Then the data stream is looped back to the T1 module's framer towards the
cross connect.
The Local loopback loops the T1 data stream back to the cross connect
module after it goes through the jitter attenuation circuitry of the LIU.
LPBK FX This command puts the indicated voice circuit in one of two types of loopbacks.
Refer to Figure 4 for loopback diagrams. See LPBK for a description of all
arguments. Voice module loopbacks are available only when the SHARK™
IAD is configured in "Network" mode.
Digital Loopback - The digital loopback loops the received digital time slot
(DS0) from the receive data line to the transmit data line. Signal settings in the
configurator do not affect the loopback.
Analog Loopback - The analog loopback is a full SLAC loopback which loops
the receive analog channel to the transmit analog channel and includes the
effects of the attenuation, impedance, and cable equalization settings.
LPBK XCON This command puts the cross connect in the XCON card or XC2T card in
loopback towards WAN-1, WAN-2, T1-1 or T1-2. Refer to Figure 5.
LPBK RESET
lpbk reset
VOICE-1 | VOICE-2 | VOICE-3 | T1-1 | T1-2 | XCON ].
This command cancels the loopback on the indicated module.
LPBK SHOW
This command displays the loopback state of all modules.
LPBK USAGE
This command displays the syntax of the lpbk command.
