The console interface uses the same command line interface as the Telnet
interface.

The SHARK™ IAD is sent from the factory with default passwords set. These
default login names and passwords are as follows:

When you have logged in successfully, the system lists in the diagnostic log the
login name and the security level associated with the password you entered.

Once you have successfully logged into your SHARK™ IAD, the root system
prompt is displayed. Enter all root commands at this prompt. Root commands
are global commands that affect the SHARK™ IAD system. Depending on your
login level you will be able to perform tests, restart modules, update firmware
and display system level or module level status records. Figure 2 shows the
format of the system root prompt and how to enter commands.

Command Line Interface display output

The prompt: (top)>> indicates that you are at the top level of the
config mode. Enter each individual module's configurator by
entering the module's name in capital letters. Example: ROUTER

login: admin

The Command Prompt indicating mode and command level.
This prompt: SHARK010101000011>
indicates the root level of the CLI. The serial number for your
SHARK will be part of the prompt until you change its name.
Root level commands are entered at this prompt.

This is your command line input
prompt for the ROUTER configurator.

This is the Root level command "who".

This is the Root level command "config"
that enters the top level of the
configurator.

The following responce indicates that
a user with login of "admin" used an
administrator password and is logged
in from "tcp port 128.100.11.41".

This is the Root level command that restarts
the Voice-1 module independantly from the
rest of the system.
