INTRODUCTION TO THE CONFIGURATOR
The following paragraphs discuss the CONFIGURATOR (CONFIG). When
you enter the root command config SHARK™ IAD configurator. This is called
the CONFIG mode. You must enter the CONFIG mode first to configure each
module. Studying these paragraphs will help you use the configurator in a
timely and efficient manner.
You enter the configurator by typing
CONFIG
(or just C) from the ROOT prompt:
SHARK010101000011> CONFIG
Then entering the module name exactly as shown:
module name = [ROUTER | TIMING | VOICE-SYS | WAN-1 | WAN-2 |
LAN-1 | LAN-2 | XCON-1 | XCON-2 | trunk | VOICE-1 | VOICE-2 |
VOICE-3 | XC2T ]
As shown in these examples:
(top)>> ROUTER
(top)>> VOICE-1
(top)>> TIMING
(top)>> trunk
See
Table 2 on page 6-23 for configurator command usage guide lines.
Figure 6 shows the format of the configurator prompt and how to enter configure
