SHARK™ IAD User’s Guide

name

set name name
Specifies the name identifying the entry in the router's pinhole table.

protocol-select

set protocol-select { tcp | udp | icmp | pptp | other}
Specifies the type of protocol being redirected.

external-port start

set external-port start y where y = {0 - 65535}
Specifies the beginning of the port range to be redirected.

external-port end

set external-port end y where y = {0 - 65535}
Specifies the end of the port range to be redirected.

internal-ip

set internal-ip internal-ip
Specifies the IP address of the internal host to which traffic of the specified
type should be transferred.

internal-port

set internal-port internal-port
Specifies the port number your SHARK™ IAD should use when forwarding
traffic of the specified type. Under most circumstances, you would use the
same number for the external and internal port.

delete

delete pinhole name
Deletes the pinhole specified by the pinhole name argument.

Port Renumbering
set servers:

If you use NAT pinholes to forward HTTP or Telnet traffic through your
SHARK™ IAD to an internal host, you must change the port numbers the
SHARK™ IAD uses for its own configuration traffic. For example, if you set
up a NAT pinhole to forward network traffic on Port 80 (HTTP) to another
host, you would have to configure the SHARK™ IAD to listen for HTTP
server requests on a port number other than 80, such as 6080. After you have
changed the port numbers the SHARK™ IAD uses for its configuration traffic,
you must use those port numbers instead of the standard numbers when
configuring the SHARK™ IAD. For example, if you move the router's Web
service to port 6080 on a box with a DNS name of superbox, you would enter
the URL http://superbox:6080 in a Web browser to open the SHARK™ IAD
graphical user interface. Similarly, you would have to configure your Telnet
application to use the appropriate port when opening a configuration
connection to your SHARK™ IAD.

web-http

set servers web-http [ 0 - 65535 ]

Specifies the port number for HTTP (web) communication with the SHARK™
IAD. Because port numbers in the range 0-1024 are used by other protocols,
you should use numbers in the range 2000-32767 when assigning new port
numbers to the SHARK™ IAD web configuration interface.

telnet-tcp

set servers telnet-tcp [ 0 - 65535 ]

Specifies the port number for Telnet (CLI) communication with the SHARK™
IAD. Because port numbers in the range 0-1024 are used by other protocols,
